Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement is desired and negotiable, approximately 1-2 weekends
• Holiday coverage may be required for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Level IV NICU with 50 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 or 1:4 for NSDU
• Common diagnoses include micro preemies, preemie growers, surgical patients, BPD, NAS, genetic anomalies, and cardiac patients
• Administer and titrate drips including Dopamine, Dobutamine, Prostins, Insulin, and Sedation under MD order
• Work with RT equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPap
• Monitor patients on monitored beds with no telemetry tech requirement
• May be floated to PICU, Inpatient Pediatrics, and Labor & Delivery
• Cancellation policy of 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher required
• Skills required include neonatal assessment, IV placement, medication administration, feeding, and vent/CPAP care
• Scrub color: Pewter Gray

This acute care facility features a Level IV NICU staffed with neonatologists in-house 24/7, providing comprehensive care for critically ill and premature neonates. The unit is supported by dedicated NICU Clinical Preceptors for orientation and nurse aides on every shift, ensuring a well-rounded team environment. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains both charge nurses and house supervisors to support staff and patient care needs.
