Job Details:
• 4 ten-hour shifts per week with start times of 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM and end times of 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM
• 1 call shift required per week
• 1 call weekend required per 5-week period
• 1 late stay shift required per week
• Routine cases performed on Sundays, which counts as one of the 4 ten-hour shifts
• 1 year of experience required
• 1 minimum year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Monitor and scrub all cath lab cases
• Required skills include: ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult and Pediatric/Neonatal), Hemodynamic Monitoring, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Laser-Assisted Procedures, Left Heart Catheterization, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Permanent Pacemaker Insertion (PPI), Pulmonary Artery (PA) Line Insertion, Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Scrub - Maintain Sterile Field, Temporary Pacemaker, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device Insertion, and Watchman
• Special equipment includes: IVUS, OCT, IMPELLA, IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, and Penumbra
• Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, SCRQSA
• Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
Facility:
This healthcare facility is a large health system offering comprehensive cardiac and cath lab services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretaries, and more. The cath lab unit maintains a daily census of 42 patients with approximately 25 visits per day across 4 procedure rooms, providing a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.
