Opportunity:
RN - Med/Surg
Job Details:
• Float to Med/Surg, Rehab, and Geriatric Psych units as needed
• Render professional nursing care to patients within assigned units
• Provide comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift
• Communicate patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding (AIDET)
• Participate in daily unit-based safety huddles
• Monitor and maintain awareness of unit-based nurse sensitive indicators including CAUTI, CLABSI, CDIFF, HAPU, Falls, Hand Hygiene, and VAE
• Actively participate in quality initiatives and performance improvement efforts
• Effectively delegate aspects of care and unit activities to other nursing personnel
• Collaborate with nursing students, instructors, and interdisciplinary team members
• Serve as preceptor for new nurses when needed
• Complete dysrhythmia course prior to completion of orientation
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
• Current New Hampshire RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Graduate of an approved nursing program preferred
