Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg Medical Stroke

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
• Acute care setting on a Medical Stroke unit
• Unit capacity flexes up to 35 beds with an average daily census of 26-28 patients
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6 with 3 Patient Care Technicians on unit
• Care for patients with conditions including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and occasional surgical overflow including thyroidectomy cases
• Experience with stroke patients required; NIHSS experience is a plus
• Post-TPA or lower level stroke care experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience highly preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Must submit an unexpired copy of candidate's driver's license with all submittals

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a dedicated Medical Stroke unit providing specialized care for stroke patients as well as a broad range of medical conditions. The unit utilizes EPIC as its electronic charting system and supports a collaborative care model with Patient Care Technicians working alongside nursing staff. The facility maintains a dynamic patient census and is committed to delivering high-quality care across multiple medical specialties.
