Opportunity:
Day/10 Hours/AM start (7 AM or 8:30 AM)
Job Details:
• Day shift position with 10-hour shifts starting at either 7:00 AM or 8:30 AM
• 8-hour shift options available for candidates who prefer that schedule
• On-call required weekends only from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (staff typically work Saturdays)
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics, with adolescents preferred
• Perform MRI procedures including neuro, MSK, abdomen, MRCPs, and breast exams
• No cardiac MRI performed at this facility
• Operate GE 1.5 Signa and GE 1.5 Optima MRI equipment
• Skills required include: abdomen, adult acute care, adult outpatient, brain, breast, cervical, chest, ER/trauma, face/soft tissue neck, female pelvis, gradient echo imaging, hip/bony pelvis, image post-processing, knee, lumbar, male pelvis, maximum intensity projection (MIP), multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), PACS, preparation and/or administration of contrast media, shoulder, spin echo images, starting peripheral IVs, surface coils, T-1 and T-2 weighted images, and thoracic
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT (R), BLS, ARRT (R)(MRI), and California Radiologic Technologist certification
• California IV certification preferred prior to start
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
