Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neonatal (Level 2 NICU)

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Primary assignment in Level 2 NICU with potential float to mother/baby unit as needed
• Practice independently in neonatal clinical setting, providing routine and complex care
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal setting preferred
• Required certifications: STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants), BLS (AHA only), NRP
• RN License in state of TX or compact required
