Opportunity:

RN - ED Boarders/Observation

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three days per week (3x12 schedule)
• Block scheduling potential but not guaranteed
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 6-week period (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays), along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Only one holiday may be requested as time off
• Travel partners are not permitted
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath and managing ports required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Support ED boarders across the system - patients waiting for a bed in the ED requiring inpatient care
• Float to observation units at Edgewood and Florence campuses as needed, as well as MS and MS Tele units
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Scrubs must be Navy Blue with no agency or brand logos
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Natural fingernails required for direct patient care, must be less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable
• Key skills include accessing/managing ports, cardiac telemetry, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, telemetry interpretation, tracheostomy care, and wound care
