Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath and managing ports required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience required
• Patient ratio of 5 to 6 patients
• Support ED boarders across the system — patients waiting for a bed in the ED and requiring inpatient care
• Float to observation units or Medical/Surgical Telemetry units at Edgewood and Florence campuses as needed when boarder census is low
• Required skills include: accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management without titration, neuro stepdown, non-invasive airway management, PCA, PICC line management, pre and post cardiac cath, pre and post hemodialysis management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, traumatic brain injury, wound care and wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, iPad for communication, and pacemaker interrogation devices
• Navy blue scrubs required with no agency or brand logos permitted
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Fingernails must be less than 1/4 inch in length; natural fingernails required for those in direct patient care, polish is acceptable
• No cafeteria available on-site; refrigerator and microwave provided
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Only one holiday may be requested as time off
• No call required
