Opportunity:

Neuro EXP Tele RN

Job Details:

• Position will float between units to meet unit needs
• No on-call required
• Every other weekend required
• Block schedules not required
• Expected patient ratio of 1:4
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Neurology RN experience required with comfort using the NIH scale
• Must be proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
• Scrub color: Any color for RNs
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 total staffed beds. The facility operates as a teaching hospital and features a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation, a Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation, and a Level 3 Epilepsy Center (NAEC). The neuroscience unit supports neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients with a daily census of 48 and 64 available beds. Interpretation services are available as interdisciplinary support.
