Opportunity:

MRI Technologist

Job Details:

• Part-time position working 24 hours per week
• Wednesday 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Thursday 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekday nights (11:00 PM to 5:30 AM) and weekends
• Operate magnetic resonance equipment to produce images for medical diagnosis
• Perform MRI diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians
• Use equipment to direct strong magnetic fields and radio frequencies to create 3D images of patient body tissues
• Summarize, document, verify, and present images, findings, calculations, and measurements to physicians for diagnoses
• Prepare, administer, and monitor contrast media
• Obtain pertinent patient information and disseminate patient preparation instructions to care areas
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and protocols
• Minimum two years of recent experience in MRI required
• Certificate or diploma from MRI school or Associate's degree in Radiology required
• Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology preferred
• ARRT-R, ARRT-MR, or ARMRIT registration required
• State Radiologic Tech (RT) or RTMRI license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required
