Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• Work night shifts, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
• NICU and pediatric experience required
• Must be able to intubate
• Assess and document appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy for patients
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
• Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
• Provide care to ventilator patients including adult and geriatric populations
• Perform drainage procedures and provide additional patient care related to cardiorespiratory disease
• Document care given and maintain accurate records of treatments and charges
• Assist in training and supervision of new employees as delegated
• Assist in instruction of nursing personnel regarding patient surveillance and equipment
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential preferred
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program required
