Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Telemetry

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 36-bed unit
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must have ACLS prior to submission)
• Required dress code: Ceil Blue Scrubs
• Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills required
• Equipment used includes telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanner
• Procedures performed on unit include PICC line removal and vas cath/temp cath removal
• Must demonstrate strong nursing background, thorough assessment skills, and attention to detail
• Must be able to multitask and handle stressful situations
• Patient experience requirements include hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, and AIDET
• Positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, and strong communication skills required

This facility is a Pathways to Excellence Certified hospital and serves as a Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Level II Trauma Center. The unit features advanced iMobile technology, Dynamaps that upload directly to the documentation system, and an advanced call light system. The facility boasts highly experienced staff, high employee engagement scores, and consistently maintains quality and core measures. Many nurses on staff are nationally certified, including the unit manager, and the unit has been recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction winner.
