RN IR/Special Procedures

Job Details:

• Work in a 1st floor Radiology unit on the East campus
• Unit consists of 4 beds and 1 procedure room
• Day shift staffing includes 2 RNs, 1 IR tech, and 1 Radiologist
• Patient ratio information to be discussed during interview process
• EMR system: Meditech
• Moderate sedation experience required; certification can be obtained at the facility if not already certified
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• Typical procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, port placement, and perm cath placement
• Dress code: Gray scrubs required
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

This healthcare facility is located on a dedicated medical campus and features a specialized Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures unit equipped with modern imaging technology. The unit operates with a collaborative team of registered nurses, IR technicians, and radiologists to provide high-quality procedural care. The facility supports staff development by offering on-site moderate sedation certification for qualified candidates.
