Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 1 major and 1 minor holiday requirement
• Patient ratios of 1:3 with a maximum of 1:4 during medical overflow
• 20-bed Progressive Care Unit serving cardiac, respiratory, ETOH withdrawal, and renal failure patients
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
• Experience with CPAP, BiPap, and high flow nasal cannula required
• Telemetry monitoring supported by monitor techs and RNs reading strips
• Nurse aides available on unit at a ratio of 1:7 days and 1:11 nights
• Charge nurse and house supervisor available on unit
• May be placed on call for low census only with a maximum expected response time of 45 minutes if called in
• Float requirement to ICU or Med/Surg first
• Scrub top: any color or design except purple; pants: any color except purple
• 2-shift unit-specific orientation
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Oregon license not required at time of submittal
