Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 1 major and 1 minor holiday requirement
• May be placed on call for low census with a 30-minute response time from call to arrival on unit
• Floating requirements apply - contract RNs float first per ONA contract
• 16-bed ICU unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Treat cardiac and respiratory patients in a critical care setting
• Titrate drips including Levophed, Propofol, Insulin, Dopamine, Neosynephrine, and Precedex
• Read telemetry strips - no monitor technicians on unit
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 with full RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
• Charge nurse and house supervisor available on unit
• Hospitalist and intensivist in-house
• 2-shift unit-specific orientation
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Dress code: Black, cocoa brown, charcoal grey, navy blue, or khaki scrubs
• Valid driver's license required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care and critical care experience required
• BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 16-bed intensive care unit equipped to handle complex cardiac and respiratory cases. The unit is supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy services and full RT equipment, with both hospitalist and intensivist coverage in-house. The facility utilizes the MEDITECH electronic health records system and maintains a structured environment with charge nurses and house supervisors available at all times to support staff and ensure quality patient care.
