Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements vary based on unit needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU, 1:5 for medical patients, and 1:4 for PCU patients
• Float to PCU and medical floors as needed
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, IV antibiotics, and sedatives
• Work with ventilators and BiPAP equipment
• Required to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
• Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and neuro cases
• 24/7 critical care coverage available with E-ICU staffed by nurse and APRN
• Charge nurse present on each shift with patient assignment
• Patient care techs available on unit
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• First week includes system orientation and onboarding followed by 1-2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation
• Must pass an open book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• 50-mile radius rule applies

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive critical care services to its patient population. The facility provides 24/7 critical care coverage with an E-ICU staffed by both nurses and APRNs around the clock. The organization maintains high standards for patient care, supported by a structured scheduling system and dedicated care teams across multiple units including ICU, PCU, and medical floors.
