Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Float required as needed within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Majority telemetry with possible mixed medical overflow
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Unit census of 30 with 32 rooms and 35 beds
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA only)
• Key skills include cardiac telemetry, drip management (Heparin per protocol, Bumex, Cardizem, Nitro, Amiodarone per protocol, Dopamine), central line care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and wound care
• No insulin drips; hypoglycemic/insulin protocols in use
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Pre-approved time off: two instances

This community hospital facility offers a well-supported telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary resources including physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. The unit provides a collaborative care environment with access to IV teams, phlebotomy, and interpretation services to support diverse patient needs.
