Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Stepdown & EMU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Holiday rotation participation expected
• Possible floating to units 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W
• 2 shifts of on-unit orientation provided
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for EMU floor
• Nurse aides available on unit at a ratio of 1:8-9, with 4 aides per shift
• Charge nurse support available 24/7
• Care for higher acuity neuroscience patients including strokes, seizures, craniotomies, and epilepsy monitoring
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Strong neuro experience required including history of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH protocols
• NIHSS certification required at time of submission
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with EVDs preferred
• Titration performed by physician orders only; relevant protocols will be provided during orientation
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 to manage floor vents; RNs are not required to have vent experience
• Telemetry present on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
• Royal blue scrubs required
• BSN not required
