Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCTs
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCTs
• 3 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule; Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for days
• Float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU as needed
• Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements required
• Experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
• NIH certification preferred
• Required certification: ACLS
• Work with equipment including Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines
• EMR system: Meditech
• Grey scrubs required for RNs
• Fast-paced, high energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork preferred

This healthcare facility operates a 7-floor main hospital building featuring a dedicated Cardiac Telemetry unit staffed by an experienced team of over 70 professionals. The unit is equipped with modern medical technology and focuses on delivering high-quality cardiac care, supporting patients requiring telemetry monitoring, post-cath recovery, pacemaker management, and stroke care. The facility maintains a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient safety.
