Opportunity:
Interventional Radiology RN
Job Details:
• 4x10 day shifts for a 13-week contract
• ICU experience is required (hard stop)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3-5 years preferred
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Weekend coverage varies depending on staffing, possible every 3-4 weekends
• Call responsibilities include one night of call during the week every other week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following day
• One weekend call shift every 4-6 weeks from 5:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday morning
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 15-20 patients with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Unit consists of 5 rooms and 5 beds
• Procedures performed include CT guided biopsy, fistulograms, GJ-tube placement, lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, monitoring procedural sedation, and procedural sedation administration
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• May be required to float between sister facilities on occasion
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during submittal; post-offer RTO may not be considered
Facility:
This short-term acute care facility operates 325 staffed beds and provides a wide range of interventional radiology services. The unit is supported by an extensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains a high standard of procedural patient care within a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
