Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must have experience working with adults, newborns, ventilators, and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Newborn experience is required
• Will attend deliveries; no NICU on site
• Performs basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
• Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
• Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
• Provides care to ventilator-dependent patients
• Assesses and documents appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy
• Performs drainage procedures and provides additional patient care related to cardiorespiratory disease
• Completes paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
• Minimum two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential preferred
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required

This facility is a 122-bed acute care hospital that has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977.
