Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 22-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Key clinical skills required include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, IV insulin protocols, and central venous pressure monitoring

This facility is a community hospital offering comprehensive intensive care services with a 22-bed unit. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility is equipped to handle complex critical care cases and provides care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
