Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with day shift option available from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 with CNA support at 1 CNA per 10-14 patients
• 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving general medical patients including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and similar diagnoses
• Required to titrate insulin and heparin drips
• Manage CPAP and established BiPAP equipment
• No telemetry monitor techs on unit; telemetry monitored remotely from centralized location in Arizona via Ascom app on iPhone - ability to read strips preferred
• Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
• Floating required within Region I facilities when needed; additional $20 per hour when floated to a non-primary facility
• First to float when unit census is low
• Charting performed in EPIC
• Any professional scrub colors accepted
• BSN preferred but not required; minimum 2 years of related work experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Current state nursing license required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
