Opportunity:
RN - Surgical Renal
Job Details:
• Rotating shifts required with every other weekend and holiday
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• Utilize One Chart for all documentation, PCA and epidural pumps, and telemetry equipment
• Charting system: EPIC
• Plan and coordinate patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions
• Collaborate with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Provide empathetic care for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Demonstrate competency and use comprehensive nursing expertise
• Work with complex patients with general medical needs including acute and chronic renal failure, hypertension, diabetes, head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer, heart failure, chronic wounds, and paraplegia or quadriplegia
• Care for kidney transplant recipients and living donors
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with surgical patients required
• Registered nurse licensed in South Dakota required
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required
• Acute care setting, Trauma Level 1
• Badge in and out at facility required
• Cancellation policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks
Facility:
This facility is a Trauma Level 1 acute care medical center featuring a small, family-oriented surgical renal unit with 19 telemetry beds serving complex patients with diverse medical needs. The facility also operates three separate critical care units staffed 24/7 with in-house intensivist services and daily coverage by pulmonary, surgical, and neurocritical care specialty services. The interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide goal-directed, comprehensive patient care across a wide range of medical conditions and surgical needs.
