Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
• Weekend coverage required
• Must be willing to float to Petaluma Valley Hospital (PVH) if needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• California license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• Must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work off RCP protocols to evaluate, assess, and treat patients
• Strong critical thinking skills required to care for all types of patient diagnoses
• Regional trauma center environment
• Equipment used includes: Drager V800 Ventilators, 1200 LTV Ventilator for transports, ParaPac MRI Vent, V60 BiPAP, Vapotherm, IPV and Cough Assist, ProVu, ResMed, Ambu Bronch Scopes, and Smart Vest for Percussion
• Skills include but are not limited to: adult critical care, BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation weaning, intubation assist, arterial blood gas interpretation and collection, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care and management, high flow nasal cannula, patient transport, and pulmonary hygiene
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• 40 orientation hours required

The organization supports an interdisciplinary care model with access to physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more. The facility is equipped with advanced respiratory and ventilator technology to support complex patient care needs.
