Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Anticipated schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off per bi-weekly pay period
• Perform a wide range of general nursing duties providing direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical department
• Care for patients ranging from post-partum neonates to geriatrics across medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric areas
• Opportunities to expand into post-partum care, infusion and wound therapies, and cross-training in the Emergency Department and/or PACU
• 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred
• Current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current BLS certification required; current ACLS and PALS certifications required or ability to obtain within one year
• Must be willing to earn NRP certification and provide patient care appropriate to certification within one year
• Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications and treatments required
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to maintain composure in rapidly changing circumstances
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills including oral, written, and listening skills required
• Must be able to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Must be able to handle stressful situations calmly, professionally, and with emotional maturity
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to accept other duties as assigned required
