Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor)

Job Details:

• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM available
• Weekend and holiday requirements as scheduled
• Acute care setting on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown and Floor unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for Floor
• Titration of drips required
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Ventilator experience required as vents are present on the unit
• Charge nurse and transport RN available during optimal staffing from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM only
• Certified nursing assistants available on the unit, typically 2-5 per shift
• Respiratory therapy available in-house 24/7
• Telemetry technicians post strips each shift, but RNs must be able to read and interpret independently
• Floating to other units may be required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Required certifications: BLS

This acute care facility operates a dedicated MedSurg Stepdown and Floor unit with 34 beds, providing comprehensive care for a range of medical-surgical patients. The facility supports staff with in-house respiratory therapy available around the clock, telemetry technicians on every shift, and charge nurses during peak hours. The organization utilizes the EPIC charting system and maintains structured staffing ratios to ensure quality patient care.
