Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
• Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
• Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
• Provide care to ventilator patients
• Assess and document appropriateness of prescribed therapy including recommendations
• Perform pulmonary function tests and drainage procedures
• Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
• Assist in training and supervision of new employees
• Instruct nursing personnel in surveillance of patient and equipment after initial installation
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Required credentials: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Preferred credentials: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT)

This 162-bed acute care facility has been providing comprehensive care to the community since 1959. The facility features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and serves as a county designated trauma center, offering a wide range of specialized services to meet the needs of the surrounding community.
