Opportunity:

RN - MS/ONC

Job Details:

• Rotating shift schedule with preferred nights accepted
• Every third weekend required, subject to change based on unit needs
• No on-call required
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on chemo admissions and experience; chemo administration not guaranteed
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister facilities in the North region
• 2 years of Med/Surg or Oncology experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS; ONS/ONCC Chemo certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• 30-bed Med/Surg and Oncology unit with a daily census of 30
• Key skills include: accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, central line care and blood draws, PICC line care, infusion pump management, IV push chemotherapy and narcotic administration, PCA pump management, foley catheter insertion and management, wound care, chest tube care and management, neutropenic precautions, phlebotomy, interpretation of dysrhythmias, colostomy/ileostomy management, and patient and family education and support
