Job Details:

• 13-week assignment
• 3x12 variable shift schedule
• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per 2-week period
• Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
• No on-call required
• May float to like units to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling not available
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Chemo administration experience required
• Patient ratios are 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Charting system is Epic (preferred)
• Scrubs are provided
• Parking is free
• Required certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC (Chemo)
• Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto offer
• Must be able to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing

This facility is a 407-bed acute care hospital recognized as a Magnet facility, Level II Trauma Center, and a U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital in Alaska. The unit supports a daily census of 46 patients across 46 rooms and beds, with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more.
