Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with reasonable time off requests accepted
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirement
• Set schedule determined by manager
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 under normal circumstances
• Primary care unit with no nurse aides on unit
• Charge nurse present on every shift
• Intensivist in-house during the day with Virtual ICU Intensivist coverage at night
• Respiratory therapy assigned to ICU and in-house 24/7
• Manage general medical ICU patients with some surgical cases
• Required to titrate drips including sedation, paralytics to train of 4, and vasoactive medications
• Work with all critical drips including sedation and vasoactive medications
• Operate RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, vents, and all oxygen delivery modes
• Centralized monitoring with nurses verifying strips
• Float to PCU, Med Surg, or ER for holds only with a maximum ratio of 1:4
• May be required to float throughout Region II facilities with an additional $20/hour when floated outside primary facility
• Charting system: EPIC (ability to test out of EPIC training)
• One full shift of orientation with unit educator
• Professional scrubs in any color required
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Valid state license required for submission

The facility maintains strong support systems including in-house intensivist coverage during the day, virtual ICU intensivist coverage at night, and dedicated respiratory therapy staff available around the clock.
