Requirements:

• Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• 1+ years of cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications

Duties:

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and identify arrhythmias, escalating care as needed
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in cardiac status promptly
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac condition, treatment plan, and lifestyle modifications
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR
• Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity and staffing guidelines
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed
