Description

Requirements:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (ACOTE)
NBCOT certification required
State OT license required
BLS certification required
1+ years of OT experience required
Experience with EMR/documentation systems

Duties:

Evaluate patients to determine functional abilities, limitations, and treatment needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
Provide therapeutic interventions for physical, cognitive, and/or developmental conditions
Train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and techniques for daily activities
Collaborate with physicians, PTs, and interdisciplinary care team on patient progress and goals
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
Ensure compliance with state practice acts and facility policies
