**Exciting Opportunity for an RN in Ortho/Trauma Unit!**

**Job Description:**

- **Location:** Kansas City, Missouri
- **Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00
- **Unit Name:** 6 East Ortho/Trauma
- **Number of Beds:** 23
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4, 1:5
- **Unit Staffing:**
- Unit Secretary
- PCTs

- **Type of Equipment:**
- Traction
- Fixators
- Cooling equipment

- **Documentation System:** Meditech

- **Scheduling Requirements:**
- 3 Twelve-hour shifts
- 3 Weekend shifts per schedule period

- **Floating Policy:**
- Contract labor is first to float
- May float to other MedSurg level of care units (General MS, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma)

- **Patient Experience Requirements:**
- Bedside shift report
- Hourly rounding

- **Hospital Specifics:**
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Comprehensive Stroke Center

- **Hiring Profile:**
- **Must Have:** RN license, BLS
- **Advanced Skills Needed:**
- Ortho experience
- Telemetry
- NIH

- **Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- Post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
- Trauma patients
- Some Neuro overflow (NIH is helpful)

- **Dress Code:** Navy scrubs
