Description
**Job Description:**
- **Start Date:** November 9
- **Contract Length:** 13 or 18 weeks
- **Shift Type:**
- Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
- Variable D/N or straight nights
- **Holiday Requirement:** Must work 2 out of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
- *NO HOLIDAY RTO ALLOWED*
- **Experience Required:**
- Minimum of 2 years in Level 4 NICU
- Strong Level 3 Surgical experience considered
- First-time travelers accepted if they have Level 4 experience
- **Licensure:** Pending license accepted if it posts before starting with an ETA
- **Weekend Availability:** Flexibility required to work weekends
- **Certifications Needed:**
- BLS
- Advanced NRP
- PALS preferred
- **Floating Requirements:**
- Must float within scope to meet facility needs
- Will float to sister facilities as needed
- **Transportation:** Must have own transportation for travel to satellite locations
- **Technical Skills:**
- Experience with oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, specialty gases
- Proficient with PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC, UVC, PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-Tubes
- Comfortable with line changes that involve multiple drips, pre and post-op care
- **Environment:**
- Level 1 trauma, Magnet Recognized, Teaching Facility

**Key Highlights:**
- **Daily Census:** Caring for neonates, infants, and pediatrics
- **Patient Ratios:** 1-2 patients per nurse
- **Interdisciplinary Support:** High acuity surgical NICU
- **Common Diagnoses:** HIE/Cooling, CDH, NEC, respiratory distress/failure
- **Special Procedures:** Management of trachs & G-tubes, high-risk deliveries, central line care
- **Unit Flexibility:** May be scheduled for day or night shifts, with rotation possible monthly
