Description

**Exciting Opportunity for Ambulatory/Outpatient RN!**

**Job Description:**

- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30); Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00)
- RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite
- Any call offs or additional RTO could lead to a Cancel and DNR

**Essential Skills & Certifications:**

- Minimum 2 Years of Experience Required
- 1st Time Travelers Accepted
- Locals Accepted
- Work Setting Skills:
- Ambulatory/Outpatient
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Starting & Maintaining IVs
- Pre/Post Operative Care: Discharge Instructions, Medication Reconciliation, Obtain Operative/Procedural Consent
- Professional Skills: Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain Assessment & Management
- Certifications: ALS, BLS & PALS

**Preferred Skills & Experience:**

- Work Setting Skills:
- Pedi PACU, Phase I and II Recovery
- Surgery Cases: ENT, General & Ophthalmology
- Pediatric Skills: Management of Pediatric Patients
- Types of Anesthesia: General, Local & Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
- Special Procedure Skills: Cataract Extraction/Implant & Eye Trauma

**Unit Details:**

- Average Daily Census: 40; Visits/Day: 40; Rooms/Beds: 9
- No Computerized System
- Orientation: 3 days on the unit
- Scrubs: Provided

**Important Information:**

- Candidates must pass EKG Testing prior to start
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- RTO: 7 Days MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER
- Floating among Charlotte area ASCs is required, but very rare
- Patients: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults & Geriatrics; Diagnoses: Eye/ENT patients
- Special Procedures: BMTs, tonsils, adenoids, sinus, cataracts
