**Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced RN in a Dynamic PCU!**

**Job Description:**

- **Unit Highlights:**
- Stepdown unit from the ICU with a focus on patient safety
- 14 beds in a close-knit, collaborative environment
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for enhanced monitoring

- **Essential Qualifications:**
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Must have 2-3 years of experience in ICU stepdown or PCU
- Open to first-time travelers; experience with high-risk medications preferred

- **Patient Demographics:**
- Stepdown patients from ICU, TBI/trauma cases, major surgeries, CEA, and sepsis
- Familiarity with arterial and CVP pressure lines, titrating pressors, and managing trach & stable vented patients

- **Responsibilities:**
- Engage in titration of various drips including Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, and levophed
- Collaborate effectively with a dedicated team for an exceptional patient experience
- Focus on HCAHPS and core measures, promoting a patient-centered approach

- **Shifts & Scheduling:**
- 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM/PM
- 3 shifts/week with schedules prepared 2-3 weeks in advance
- Self-scheduling is commonly practiced

- **Weekend & Holiday Requirements:**
- 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule
- Participate in holiday rotation

- **Floating Information:**
- First to float, with potential floating to Tele or MedSurg
- No call or standby requirement

- **Dress Code:**
- Navy blue scrubs

- **Orientation:**
- 1 shift unit-specific orientation
