Description
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** ED RN
- **Shift:** 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
- **Contract Length:** 89 weeks
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours weekly
**Submission Requirements:**
- Must live 75 miles away from the facility (Travel position)
- Will consider locals (less than 75 miles) at local rate
- Up-to-date resume showing:
- 2+ years of experience in the Emergency Department
- Some pediatric experience
- Documented travel experience required
- Skills Checklist matching specialty
- Valid driver’s license (address must match demographics)
- Current certifications:
- AHA ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- NURSYS Report with active NY license
- Request Time Off (RTO) must be included at submission
- EMR experience required: EPIC
**Unit Overview:**
- **Department:** Emergency Department
- **Patient Demographics:** Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
- **Common Diagnoses:**
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Trauma
- Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- Cardiac Arrest
- Respiratory Failure
- **Equipment Used:**
- Rapid Infuser
- Arctic Sun
- **Number of Beds:**
- 64 total (2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych)
- **Required Medications/Drips:**
- Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
- Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
- Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido
- Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin
**Additional Notes:**
- Charge capability highly preferred
- Floating required between units
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
