**Exciting Night Shift Opportunity in Labor & Delivery!**

**Job Description:**

- **Shift Details:**
- 12-Hour Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Every Other Weekend First to Float

- **Unit Overview:**
- Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (L&D/PP)
- Total L&D Beds: 14
- Triage Beds: 6
- Operating Room Suites: 2
- Postpartum Beds: 28
- Births: Approximately 250 per month

- **Certifications Required:**
- ACLS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWOHNN - Advanced) for L&D
- BLS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

- **Patient Ratios:**
- Laboring Patients: 2 to 1
- Couplet Care: 1 to 4

- **Technology:**
- Fetal Monitoring System: Fetal Link
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
- Telemetry System: Phillips

- **Team Structure:**
- Charge Nurse available (typically no patient assignment)
- OB Tech support on day and night shifts

- **Floating Requirement:**
- Mandatory floating to Postpartum
- Postpartum staff do not float to L&D

- **Orientation:**
- Floor-specific: 3 shifts

- **Common Diagnoses/Patient Types:**
- Any gestational age
- Antepartum
- High-risk deliveries
- Substance abuse
- Pre-eclampsia
- Insulin-dependent diabetics

- **Cancellation Policy:**
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments
- 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks

- **Work Environment:**
- Excellent support with 24/7 RT and Pharmacy availability
- No IV team on-site, but resources available when needed

- **Scrub Colors:**
- Navy for Postpartum Nurses
- Provided Seal Blue for OB Tech and L&D Nurses
