Description
**Job Description:**
- **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- **Schedule:** 3x12s, Nights, Every 3rd Weekend, Holidays as needed
- **Float Requirement:** Must float between all campuses as needed
- **Experience:** Minimum 1 year required; NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS
- **Preferred Experience:** Acute Care Rehab, CVA, TBI, ABI, Spinal Cord Injury, and general debility
- **Patient Ratios:**
- 1:6 on most units
- 1:7 in one unit (equivalent acuity)
- **Certifications Required:** BLS and EPIC experience
- **Skills Needed:**
- Interpretation of laboratory results
- Medication reconciliation
- Patient Health Questionnaire History
- Vital Signs monitoring (Blood Pressure, Respirations, Temperature, Pulse)
- Dressing Change and setup of aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Specimen collection (Capillary, Throat, Urine - UA Clean Catch, Phlebotomy)
- Telephone Triage, Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
- **Patient Care Details:**
- Focus on inpatient rehab for specialized care of patients with rehabilitation needs (post-stroke, aneurysm, post-op surgical)
- Interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and more
**Additional Details:**
- Daily Census: 39
- Number of Beds: 49
- Orientation Hours: 24
- Background Check: No open cases permitted
- License: Active license must be in hand at submission
- Local Policy: No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- EKG Exam: All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Modules: Average 2-4 hours; non-billable, completed during orientation
