**Exciting Opportunity for Night Shift Med-Surg Nurses!**

Job Description:
- **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- **Specialty:** Medical-Surgical Nursing
- **Requirements:**
- Active NY Nursing License
- Minimum of 2 years acute hospital nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS Certification (required)
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- No locals allowed (candidates must reside outside of a 50-mile radius)
- **Counties restricted for new contracts:**
- Warren
- Washington
- Fulton
- Montgomery
- Rensselaer
- Saratoga
- Schenectady
- Albany
- Columbia
- Greene
- Dutchess
- Ulster
- **Flexibility Required:**
- Must be willing to float within the hospital based on skill set as needed
- **Patient Ratios:**
- 5 patients per nurse
- **Patient Age Groups:**
- Adults and Geriatrics
- **Daily Census:**
- Approximately 20 patients
- **Orientation Hours:**
- 36 hours
- **Certifications and Skills Required:**
- Accessing/Managing Ports
- Blood Product Administration
- Central Line Blood Draw
- Colostomy/Ileostomy Management
- Feeding Tube Care/Management
- Heparin Administration
- Insulin Administration
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Med/Surg Expertise
- Nasal Cannula Management
- Peripheral Line Care/Management
- Phlebotomy
- PICC Line Management
- Starting and Maintaining IVs
- Total Joint Replacement Care
- Wound Care/Wound Vac Management
- **Additional Information:**
- Candidates will float within the hospital as needed.
- Perm staff from Albany Medical Center must be gone for a year before returning as travelers.
- Completion of EKG P/F Exam required within 72 hours after signing.
- Must pass with a 100% score to prepare for the onsite EKG exam.
