Description
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** ICU Registered Nurse
- **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- **Location:** New York (Must have NY license in hand)
- **Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- **Weekend Requirement:** Every other weekend
- **Floating:** Required
- **Patient Ratio:** 2-3 patients per nurse
- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required; charge experience highly preferred
- **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
- **Charting System:** Epic experience required
- **Preferred Background:** Community Hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I and II experience
- **Skills Required:**
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line care/management
- Continuous IV sedation and paralytics
- Emergency medications
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
- IV insulin protocols
- Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Phlebotomy and PICC line management
- Procedural sedation administration/monitoring
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Thermoregulation for hypothermia/hyperthermia
**Unit Details:**
- **Daily Census:** 7
- **Number of Beds:** 9
- **Interdisciplinary Support:** Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary
**Submittal Guidelines:**
- **Work Location:** Candidates must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
- **RTO Policy:** Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO
- **Background Policy:** Reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- **Return Staff Policy:** 6 months, system-wide
