**Join Our Dynamic MICU Team as a Night Shift Nurse!**

- **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- **Specialty:** Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- **Location Requirement:** Must have a NY License in hand
- **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend
- **Local Candidates:** Not accepted - candidates must be over 75-mile radius
- **First-Time Travelers:** Welcome!

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Care for a diverse patient population with conditions including:
- Sepsis
- ARDS
- Renal failure
- Heart failure
- Multi-organ failure
- Post-cardiac arrest
- Manage complex cases with a patient-nurse ratio typically at 1:2, occasionally 1:1 based on acuity.
- Utilize EPIC charting for patient documentation.

**Essential Skills & Experience:**
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in MICU.
- Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Proficiency in the following:
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of patients in multi-system organ dysfunction
- Arterial line and central line management
- Ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Administration of IV medications and monitoring

**Unit Details:**
- Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 16 patients
- Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, etc.
- Special Equipment: CRRT, IABP, ECMO

**Requirements:**
- Must have a valid NY state license in hand to submit.
- Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility.
- Mandatory experience with EPIC charting.
- Candidates may be required to float to other units as needed.
