Job Description:
- Shift: 12-hour Nights
- Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Unit: Tele Float Pool
- Total Beds: 38

**Patient Care:**
- Nurse to Patient Ratios: 4:1 to 5:1
- Common Diagnoses:
- ETOH (Alcoholism)
- DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis)
- Heart Failure
- Sepsis
- Stroke
- GI (Gastrointestinal) Surgery
- GU (Genitourinary) Surgery
- Joint Replacements

**Requirements:**
- Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum Experience: 2 years in Telemetry/Stepdown
- Responsibilities:
- Titrating IV drips (Including insulin, heparin, amiodarone, cardizem)
- Reading strips (GE monitors)

**Team Structure:**
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes, does not take patients
- Nurse Aides Present: Yes, with variable ratios
- Monitor Techs: Yes, monitors available

**Technology Utilized:**
- Equipment:
- CPAP
- BiPAP
- High Flow
- Vents

**Shifts & Scheduling:**
- Shift Length: 12 Hours
- Shift Times:
- Days: 0645-1915
- Nights: 1845-0715
- Weekend Requirements: Varies
- Holiday Requirements: Varies
- No Call or Standby Requirement
- Floating: Yes, to Med-Surg and Tele Units
- Scrubs: Navy Option Available

**Orientation/Training:**
- Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 1 day

**Cancellation Policy:**
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

**Charting System:**
- Cerner
