Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU
- Location: Concord, North Carolina (NC), 28025
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Teaching Hospital, Trauma Level III, Chest Pain & Stroke Center of Excellence
- Start Date: October 6, 2025
- End Date: January 3, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Parking: Free on-site
- Floating: Required within the region and scope of practice; paid travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs in NC)
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience (CVICU experience strongly preferred)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficient in management of vasoactive medications, surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, and CRRT
- Experience with invasive lines (arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers) and cardiac devices (IABP, Impella)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
CVICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including STEMI, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and post-thoracic surgery
- Monitor and manage invasive cardiac devices and lines
- Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float to other regional facilities as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care
- Utilize advanced clinical technology and equipment, including Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient safety protocols
