PCU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210-1240 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Lower Acuity Cardiac
• Position Type: Travel RN Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,914 - $2,127
• Shifts per Week: 3 (12-hour night shifts)
• Total Hours: 36 hours/week
• Patient Ratios: 1:3
• Schedule: Weekdays, some weekends, rotating holidays

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Registered Nurse license required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or cardiac nursing experience
• BCLS and ACLS certifications (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Cardiac care experience preferred

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients in a lower acuity PCU setting
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Initiate and manage IV therapy and telemetry monitoring
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes
• Float to other units within scope of practice as required
• Participate in rotating holiday and weekend coverage
