Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery/Postpartum RN
- Location: Charlotte, NC 28262 (North Carolina healthcare job)
- Facility Setting: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit (29 beds, 1 OR suite)
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 6, 2025
- Duration: 10 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue or hospital-issued
- Parking: Free on-site
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse – North Carolina or compact state)
- BLS, ACLS, EFM, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) nursing experience
- Proficient in all aspects of LDRP patient care, including circulating C-sections and newborn care
- NCC-EFM or RNC-OB certification preferred
- Willingness to float within the region as needed
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nursing requirement)
RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
- Manage high-risk obstetric diagnoses (PPH, diabetes requiring insulin, PROM, placenta previa, and more)
- Assist in GYN surgical cases, including hysterectomies
- Circulate C-sections and provide newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, lactation support)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: OB Techs, CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, case managers, RTs, physicians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants
- Document patient care using EPIC EMR and operate advanced equipment (Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, GE Corometrics fetal monitors)
- Float to other healthcare facilities within the region as needed, with paid travel time
