Travel Cath Lab Tech Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030 - $2190 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 3, 2026)
• Location: Wausau, WI 54401 – Central Wisconsin healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Surgical Tech Unit
• Shift: 8-hour days, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week; 30-minute response time required
• Weekend/Holiday: Every 3rd to 4th weekend; holiday rotation
• Floating: May be required to float to other Central Aspirus locations

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech or Cardiovascular OR Tech
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Level 2 trauma hospital experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or Surgical Tech Certificate preferred
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) license preferred
• Cardiac, thoracic, and robotic surgery experience required
• Reliable personal vehicle required (rideshare not permitted due to on-call needs)
• Proficient in setting up operative suites, scrubbing surgical cases, and room turnover
• Flexible, motivated, and able to manage downtime productively
• Strong work ethic, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up operative suites with necessary supplies for cardiovascular procedures
• Scrub in for a variety of cardiac and thoracic surgical cases, including robotic-assisted surgeries
• Efficiently turn over rooms for multiple procedures daily
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes as required
• Float to other Central Aspirus healthcare locations as needed
• Assist with downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning
• Collaborate with a team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons on approximately 50-60 cases per month
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills in a dynamic clinical setting
