• Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 (Southern Tier, Upstate New York)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 48
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,480–$2,940 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York State or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs in NY)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced hospital environment

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record
