Travel Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift & Hours

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week; overtime after 48 hours
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• On-call/call-back possible with minimum 2-hour call-back pay
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with call-back pay if called in

Unit & Patient Population

• Medical and Pediatrics unit (travelers do not take pediatric patients)
• Adult patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions (seizure disorders, MS, chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Typical patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:6-7

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (Trauma Level II experience highly preferred)
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• Must comply with mandatory flu and COVID vaccination policy or wear a mask at all times during flu season
• Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed)
